ARI Solar calculates the carbon footprint of producing a citrus farm
ARI Solar is carrying out the calculation of the carbon footprint of different varieties of oranges and mandarins produced at a citrus farm in Huelva.
This farm exports all of its citrus production to European markets, where there is an increasing awareness for environmental conservation. This information is being increasingly demanded by consumers and some member states of the Union, including France which have already made an important pilot scheme.
In order to perform this calculation, they followed the guidelines of one of the most internationally accepted standards: PAS 2050.
This calculation was carried out by the decisive action of the property owners who want to be at the forefront of food quality standards, along with those relating to environmental sustainability. It must be understood that this action is seeking to increase customer loyalty and encourage new customers towards their products.
